Next week I’ll be releasing a brand new book, featuring 101 Blues studies. I’ve been working on this book for a few years (it turns out it takes a while to put together 101 tunes) and I’m really excited to be sharing it.
The following piece is called ‘Pedal Bass Blues’. It features a ‘pedal bass’ note, which is a way of referring to a note that continues (in the bass) for a period of time, while things are changing around it, such as a melody or chords.
This piece is ideally played with the thumb (for the bass notes) and fingers (for the melody). Have a listen, give it a shot and enjoy!
